Were this any other situation he probably would have been impressed.
“Snap out of it!” He shouts to no avail as they crash into the floor. Whatever that witch Drusa had used to hack her systems this time was much more thorough than the last. It had to be, to so effortlessly manipulate someone like her.
Razer stares into her face and it hurts in more ways than the four cracked ribs she gave him.
Ilana’s face glares down at him and… no. Not Ilana’s. Aya’s.
And it hits him.
“Aya!”
The A.I. freezes, a small blip of recognition passes through her face, Aya’s face, and he can feel a faint glimmer of something bloom in his chest. He says her name again.
A twitch in her left eye.
“Aya.”
The room begins to spin in his pain induced haze. It’s getting hard to focus on her face but he grits his teeth and tries. Broken ribs press in against his lungs with every breath, every whisper, and every plea of her name.
Razer doesn’t stop.
“Aya.”
Drusa sneers and jabs at the display from somewhere outside his vision but he pays the witch no heed.
He’ll get through to her.
“Aya.”
He has to.
“Aya.”
He’s lost enough already.
“Aya.”
He isn’t going to lose any more.

Well… I did say on my other tumblr that I wanted to do a piece of Razer and Aya fighting. The writing was just kind of a bonus. I write when I’m bored. Had to paint this thing twice because I’m the insane woman who decided that being a perfectionist with her art made something like watercolor the perfect medium choice.
